Big Brother 19 - Episode 35: This isn't Big Baby...

So...apparently the fight between Paul and Josh was staged immediately after the eviction.  It makes sense for Paul's game, but Josh keeps digging himself into a deeper hole.  Paul wants to pull Alex into a false sense of security.  I also got to see what the "Raven, it wasn't me" comment was about.  Paul pulled Alex aside and convinced her not to take a shot at him, Christmas, or Josh.  It's brilliant.  Alex's head is reeling right now, and she has no idea what to do.  She trusts for the exact reasons he expected she would (he didn't vote Jason out, and he's fighting with Josh) so in a moment of temporary confusion, she listens to him instead of her own game.  Paul got to her before HoH was even played, which actually worked to his advantage since there was no conference time right after the HoH comp was played.

Paul and Christmas are worried about Josh's emotions and his ability to blow up someone's game without a moment's notice.  Josh purposely didn't use the Veto because Alex didn't want him to.  Josh is tired of all of the blood on his hands, so he is deliberately splitting the eviction between Raven and Kevin.  Alex is blindsided once again.

Side Note: What is with Kevin stripping down after every live show?  If you are uncomfortable, don't wear the shit in the first place!  Can you tell I still don't like his ass?

The plan is working, Alex doesn't think that Paul, Christmas, and Josh are a trio.  Alex tries to convince Josh that it is her and him against the house, when Paul comes in crying, thanking Josh for not using the Veto.  When Alex left the room, Paul's frown immediately turns upside down and Josh is SHOCKED.  C'mon Josh, are you REALLY that naive? Of course, it's an act!  You are supposed to be in an alliance with this man, and you CLAIM to have a read on his game, but you didn't see that okey-doke coming??  Get your head out of your ass and play your own game!

Paul's next plan is to convince Kevin to throw the HoH comp by telling him that they are going to throw it to Christmas.  He knows that Kevin won't throw it if Josh is going to be the victor, so Paul tells a lie.  Paul wants Alex out of the house, and if he can get Josh to take the shot, he still looks as though he is Alex's new ride-or-die, even though it may only take a week.  Josh agrees that the plan is an amazing one, but once again protects Paul's ass overall.  Josh confides in Christmas, and he basically tells him to shut up and get out of Paul's way.  I think Christmas knows exactly what Paul is doing, but either (a) feels comfortable that either she or Josh can beat him in the final three, or (b) she feels she can beat him in the final two.  I don't think either of those hypotheses is correct, but what do I know?  (a lot, I study this damn game every season!)

This week is #BBComics when all of the houseguests are turned into comic book characters.  This season, instead of comic book covers, there is a BBmovie "The Revengers" taking the world by storm!  At least, that's what the fake Entertainment Tonight broadcast said!

Side note: I wonder if any of the HGs actually believe that it's a real movie!  They're cut off from the outside world, right?  Anything could happen! (except that.  that couldn't happen)

The trailer was chock-full of BB alumni...Da'Vonne, Caleb, Jessie, Frankie, Victor and Nicole (who are now a couple...who knew!) and the incomparable Dan Gheesling as the villain just to name a few!  It was fun to watch, and I'm glad they switched it up this year.  The comp tested the HGs memory of the movie trailer they just watched.  When asked a question, they had to give their answer in the form of a cardboard cutout of a character from the trailer.  Kevin wavers back and forth between trying to win it and throwing it for Paul.  Eventually, Paul's plan is brought to fruition and Josh wins HoH.

Once again, Josh is contemplating making a big move by nominating Paul.  He has a conversation with a camera in the HoH room because he feels he can't have this conversation with Christmas.  Christmas is Team Paul all the way, but if Josh keeps doubting their (Paul's) moves it's going to put a rift between them.  Ultimately Josh sticks to the plan by nominating Kevin and Alex.  Veto is all that matters at this point, because if either Kevin or Alex win Veto, Josh is going to have to put up Paul.  Josh says that he is going along with the plan, but he "has a lot to think about."

I think where Paul is making mistakes is being so cocky and full of himself, especially with Josh.  I'm sorry, but if you can fake-cry, you don't let anyone know that shit.  You never know when you'll have to pull out the water-works on an ally.  If they know you can fake it, chances are they won't ever believe you if you do emote in that fashion.  Paul calling Josh a fool, a baby, etc. just doesn't play well.

It's Tuesday night for me, so I'm excited to see tomorrow's special eviction episode.  I hope noms are kept the same.  It's no secret that I'm rooting for Paul, but if Josh has to throw Paul up as a replacement nominee, it would be incredibly easy to blow up Paul's game and send him to Jury.  What do you think?  This far down the road, who do you want to win?  Maybe the best question is who do you think will win, especially since these two questions can have completely different answers.  See you tomorrow!
